Juvenile Justice

My name is Ashley Adams and I am a second year graduate student here at UNCG. I am working towards obtaining my masters degree in sociology with a concentration in criminology. I received my bachelor of science in sociology from Appalachian State University. I have always been passionate about mental health, criminal justice reform, juvenile delinquency and data analysis. This passion was further fueled when I took part in an internship with Children’s Hope Alliance Grandfather Home in Banner Elk, NC. My time at the residential treatment facility for children was a battle both physically and emotionally, but I learned so much about myself and about how no one, especially no child, is too lost to find their way back home. My graduate research is focused on crime data analysis, and I am excited to expand my knowledge as I work with the JJBH team. Outside of academics I love painting, knitting, and watching movies with my husband and two dogs.
