Sonja L. Frison, Ph.D.

Associate Director

I am an Associate Director at the UNC Greensboro Center for Youth, Family ad Community Partnerships. My professional training is as a Licensed Psychologist specializing in working with children, youth, and families. In graduate school, I was in a dual degree program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s in Public Health. I am also a Buckeye and obtained my Bachelor’s in Science in Psychology at the Ohio State University. I have worked in clinical leadership in juvenile justice residential facilities. Having seen several young women in the past come into residential settings without having received services to address their needs, my goal is to work in the community to ensure young people and their families receive effective services and prevent involvement in higher levels of care.
