Christine E. Murray, Ph.D.

Director

I’m proud to serve as the Director for the UNC Greensboro Center for Youth, Family, and Community Partnerships. My professional training is in the area of couple and family counseling, and I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. I received my Ph.D. and Master’s degree in Couple and Family Counseling from the University of Florida, as well as my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Duke University. Before beginning in my role as Center Director, I worked for fourteen years as a Professor in the UNC Greensboro Department of Counseling and Educational Development. I’m passionate about community-based work to promote healthy, safe families, such as through the Healthy Relationships Initiative, as well as working toward supportive resources for victims and survivors of intimate partner violence and other forms of abuse. My current community involvement includes serving on the Executive Committee for the Guilford County Family Justice Center and serving as the Secretary of the Board for the Guilford County Partnership for Children.
