Naglaa Rashwan

Training Coordinator, NC Enhanced Mobile Crisis Pilot Program

I am Naglaa Rashwan. I got my master’s here at UNCG in Community Health, and I am pursuing my Ph.D. in culturally responsive evaluation practices. I was trained in Egypt as a Medical Doctor and I had several years of practicing as a Psychiatry resident. I loved working with different patients and their families. I am also passionate about working on primary prevention and system changes to eliminate disparities in health care. My way to contribute to systems change is through helping community organizations build their capacities in developing and implementing evidence-based practices. Training staff, volunteers, and community members is an important approach to capacity building. I had extensive experience building capacity via developing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and adapting training curricula to different cultural contexts. I strive to work with diverse teams and develop mechanisms and platforms that enhance collaboration and sharing of best practices.
